OUR DEEPEST SYMPATHY GOES OUT TO JANE LINDSEY WHO PASSED MARCH 2, 2009. Jane Lindsey, Ms. Senior America 1990, will be sadly and greatly missed by all. In 1990 Jane captured the titles of Ms. Senior California and then in
Atlantic City, New Jersey she was crowned Ms. Senior America. Jane's talent at the
1990 Senior America pageant was a violin solo accompanied by her husband Doug Lindsey. In 1991 she was elected Parliamentarian for the National Cameo Club and she wrote the comprehensive set of Bylaws for the National and State Cameo Clubs. Jane was elected president of the National Cameo Club in 1992. She also served as State Chapter Development Chairman and the state chapters grew from seven to twenty-five under her leadership. From 1996 to 2006 Jane was the Director/Producer/MC of the Desert Preliminary Pageants. Jane continued her vision of talent and with great pride took the Sun City Singers to the National Ms. Senior America Pageants in Las Vegas in 2004, 2005 and 2006. In 2007 Jane decided to retire and her last trip to the National Senior America pageant was 2007. She was radiant in a red chiffon gown and a vision of beauty as she stood in the Senior America spotlight for the very last time.
