Gail King is Crowned Ms Senior America 2009.

Ms New York Wins the Title:

Gail Lizardy King, 60, lives in Dix Hills, Long Island. As a child, she danced with the Antonini Ballet Company and performed at Carnegie Hall. Currently, her lyrical ballet is being used in a Florida Program for abused single women inspried to fight their fatigue and depression. She was an exchange student ambassador from the United States and studied in Costa Rica. After graduating Magna Cum Laude from Dowling College and receiving her Master's Degree from Stony Brook University, Gail went on to teach 35 1/2 years at Sachem High School North in Lake Ronkonkoma. As a high school teacher and adjunct instructor Gail has been very involved in their Mentoring Program presenting a compilation of published educators and her own original award winning lesson plans emphasizing cooperative learning and discipline. Gail has presented her cooperative learning techniques at a New York State Conference in Albany before other educational leaders and was inducted in the Academy for Teaching and Learning. She was also awarded a SCOPE All Star Teacher Award for her work currently used by schools on Long Island.

In addition to her volunteer work in two emergency room hospitals, modeling for and being an avid fund raiser for the Carol Baldwin Breast Cancer Research Foundation and animal rescue work, Gail has started a second career as an actress and model. She has been an extra on popular TV shows and feature films due to be released in 2009. She recently won her first speaking part in Loves on Ice and appeared in a television commercial and infomercial. Gail has also been featured on InstantCast.com: a website for actors and models.

Gail is having the time of her life! She enjoys babsitting her grandchildren, visiting museums, shows, concerts, gardening, reading and writing, decorating, swimming, working out and traveling. She has future plans to finish her book on educational practices in the American High School.!
