Beatrice was born and raised on Long Island, New York. She is the daughter of a Scottish immigrant and a third generation American. As a child she enjoyed music and developed a love of animals. At age 17 she enlisted in the United states Marine corps, serving during the Vietnam war and was the first woman radio operator in the Corps. After the Marine Corp her life spiraled down into the disease of addiction leaving her lost and alone. On May 12, 1982 she had a spiritual experience and her life was forever changed.
She moved to the Pacific Northwest and believes she lives in a “little piece of heaven”. Beatrice received her under graduate degree in Social Work from boise State University, and earned a Masters Degree from Walla Walla University. She is currently working in private practice as a psychotherapist specializing in woman’s issues and addictions. She has spent the last 26 years mentoring women in their struggle to be free from the bondage of addiction.
Beatrice ran a marathon at age 52 and still enjoys working out at the gym. She enjoys quilting, knitting and recently has taken up painting. But her passion is ballroom dancing which she does with the love of her life and husband, Ron. She is the mother of one son,
Scott and enjoys the honor of being grandma to Amanda May and Hope Emily.
Beatrice wants her life to be an example and tribute to the love and grace of God.
